Welcome To Bournemouth Lifeguard Corps

Founded in 1965 Bournemouth Lifeguard Corps is one of the largest and most successful volunteer lifeguard clubs in the UK. Based on the South Coast in Bournemouth, UK we are entirely dependent on sponsorship and donations from the public to function.

Affiliated to The Royal Lifesaving Society, Surf Lifesaving Association of Great Britain and the British Canoe Union, we patrol the beach every weekend and bank holiday from May through to September providing lifeguard cover for Bournemouth's beaches. For more info click here.

Bournemouth Lifeguard Corps has decided that 2008 would be the last Bournemouth Lifeguard Regatta Championships and that we would start afresh with a new format for a new competition known as Bournemouth Beach Lifeguard Championship (BBLC). For more info click here.

The Bournemouth University Events Team has chosen to hold a Fun-Run for the Corps in order to help raise money for the new Rescue Boat.

Bournemouth Lifeguard Corps is currently completing a consultation with all of it's members include past members, to establish where the corps is going and how it can get there.
