Event Safety Cover In addition too our usual patrol operations at Durley chine the club acts to provide safety cover at a number of outside events using the clubs resources. All of these events must have been prior approved by a member of the clubs Executive committee and will be led by a suitably qualified person. Like normal patrol days all events should start with a briefing identifying local hazards and the chain of command on the day. All active lifeguards and beach patrol staff are encouraged to join in these events which are published in the clubs diary dates on the website, Particular attention is drawn to the Bournemouth air show which will result in a particular high demand for operational personnel. Disabled Swimming Safety Cover Bournemouth lifeguards have also an undertaking to provide lifeguard cover every Saturday between 17:00 and 18:00 for the Bournemouth Disabled swimming club at Stokewood road leisure centre including during the patrol season where staff will be released from the beach early for this role. It is expected that all cadet and senior members help out with this task. As part of this arrangement the participating lifeguards get a free swimming session between 18:00 and 19:00.
